Whats been going on

Here I am sitting on the computer again, just trying to get out all (or at least most of) my thoughts as of late.

Here's whats been going on with me.

-Applied for 3 jobs. Einstein Bros Bagels, Chik-Fil-A, and Contemperary Services Coperation(Now is the waiting part to see if anyone is actually interested in hiring)
-Saw an academic advisor and signed up for classes for this coming fall. Oh, and my new major is Elementary Education. Lets see how long that lasts.
-Went to Arizona to see my brother just recently. I wish I was still down there.
-Saw another one of my favorite bands just recently, mewithoutYou. Honestly one of the best show's i've seen them play. The played a phenominal set. I also saw this band called Rubik from Finland. Go check them out now.

What now?...just waiting for something to happen I guess.

Oh by the way, I saw the movie trailer for The Voyage of the Dawn Treader. Looks absolutly amazing. I'm looking forward to seeing it since it was one of my favorite books in the Narnia series. If you haven't seen the trailer, look it up on youtube.

Things I'll be doing in the coming weeks.

-Mostly waiting until I get a job
-Help out with Vacation Bible School if I don't get a job
-Bowling Tournament
-Trip to Missouri
-dentist. puke.
-getting my ps3 fixed. finally.
-watch endless amounts of movies.

the exciting life I have.

I'm going end with this quote.

"God's demand for perfection need not discourage you in your present attempts to be good or even in your present failures" -C.S. Lewis

Life Update

Wow, I have 4 followers now. Thats pretty cool. Well, for those who are following, here is what I have been up to lately...

sleeping in until lunch time, eating endless amounts of food, watching endless amounts of television/movies, listening to endless amounts of music. Sound exciting eh? Not when your spending every day of your summer like this.

but other than my regular routine, here are some of the highlights of my summer:
-went and saw Demon Hunter and met the guys (which has been a dream of mine)
-saw our church's broadway musical performance (which was hilarious)
-spent a day with friends

Here's what i'm planning on doing later this summer:
-see mewithoutYou
-Visit my broseph in Arizona
-Visit relatives in Missouri
-Join my church's bowling league, and possibly dominate.
-get a job (puke)

Hopefully some suprises will come up during the summer and create new oppurtunities.

Anyways, I am already looking forward to the fall semester. I hope and pray that I can get back on track schoolwise, and I am definitely looking forward to seeing all my friends up there, and making new ones!

God is Love and Love is real. (so true)

Your Path Was In The Great Waters

How can God not exist when you see a glorious sunrise like this?

I spent this past week in beautiful Catalina Island off the coast of California. It was my second straight spring break. Like last year, I came full of expectations: first of all, just to be out of Utah and to everything else in my life aside. Before this trip, I was hiding behind walls, being in my own little world. I needed this trip to renew my soul, and my strength, to renew my faith. Oh did God blow my mind away. His grace was everywhere, whether it'd be in the study, in discussions our group had, during the challenging hike, or in the oceans and the mountains surrounding us, it was all there. It was a blessing to share these experiences with old and new friends. I will try to keep this feeling that God gave me and spread it to others back home, and everywhere I go. I just have to trust not in man, but in our father up above and give my life into his hands.

I would personally like to thank our leaders Cody and Kristin, for leading our group and help guiding us in our Mark 2 study. Thank you so much!

I am proud.

Well...the Canadians won the big game, but the Americans sure put up a fight. Nobody....absolutely nobody thought the USA hockey team had a chance in these Olympics, especially with a young inexperienced team with only 3 players (not including Modano, Tkachuk, Chelios) returning from past Olympic games. The turning point came when they played the first game against the Canadiens in the preliminary round in which they suprised everybody (and made Canada poop their pants) when they beat them 5-3. There was hope in the air for the Americans. These guys are for real and they made Canadiens a nervous team. USA goaltender Ryan Miller played some of his best hockey right here in these olympics, in which he outplayed some of the greatest goaltenders of all time, and thats why he was named MVP of the tournament. 36 year-old defensman Brian Rafalski, one of the few veterans of this team went on a scoring rampage earlier this tournament and set the tone for this US team. Zach Parise really came into his own these games too, as he'll be the face of USA Olympic hockey for years to come. Jaime Langenbrunner did a phenominal job as a captian of the US team. Those were just a few highlights from what the Americans had accomplished these games. I was blessed in witnessing these moments. These Olympics left me more love & respect for the game of hockey. I'm proud to be a hockey fan, and more importantly, an American hockey fan. Maybe next time, when we have a more experienced team, then we can beat those Canucks. ;)

I just want to honor USA hockey GM Brian Burke for assembling this USA hockey team. He has an eye of a genius. Instead of putting the best players, he assembled this team with the right players, like fitting the right pieces in a puzzle. I know this is a hard time for him, in which his son, Brenden, was killed in a car crash right before these Olympic games, but he came inspired. I have a great respect for this man and my thoughts and prayers go out to his family.

Again...Congrats to the both the Men's and Women's Canadian, USA, and Finland hockey teams for all earning medals. Now lets get back to the NHL season please.
